Extant DVD Details

Extant Season 1-3 DVD Box Set Her characters dissolves into this very-inconsistent pile of confusion and fear masked with occasional (often unprecedented) displays of "bad ass" threats and intimidation. From this solid character she becomes an irrational cliche, somehow totally convinced that her alien baby has good intentions despite everything -- and I mean absolutely everything -- pointing to the contrary. What abundance of security and rationality we see early just becomes utterly blind ignorance, and I found I couldn't care about a character who apparently doesn't interact with the story she's in. She has one purpose and goes about it in spite of continuous outside stimulus that tells her she shouldn't. There's a scene near the end where her husband complains about how disconnected she is, and I couldn't help but find it humorous, almost like the writers were poking fun at themselves for having written her into such an unbelievable role. Extant Season 1-3 DVD Set LOVED the pilot episode and am really excited about this series so far! Halle Berry is captivating in the lead role of Molly, and the young actor that plays her creepy/cute son Ethan is perfectly cast. Thank goodness for original series like "Extant" to keep us entertained during the summer months. Visually this show looks like it should be on the big screen.
